UNIDO launched the LevelUP Accelerator to support the creation and growth of sustainable and inclusive businesses in Jordan. The Accelerator targets top Jordanian startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across three manufacturing value chains (natural cosmetics, fashion and phytopharmaceuticals) to promote sustainability, integrate circular economy principles, and employ a digital-solutions driven, design thinking approach to creating human-centered products, services, and experiences.

Through its Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) Shanghai, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has actively supported the 2021 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) by co-organizing and participating in various WAIC forums and events, including the 2021 WAIC AI Women Elite Forum; the 2021 WAIC International AI City Forum; the 2021 AI Bridging Digital Divide Forum; and the 2021 AIWIN Ceremony.

This year’s Summit will take place in parallel to Dubai EXPO 2020 (previously postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic) under the theme of “Rewiring Societies: Repurposing Digitalization for Prosperity” from 22-27 November in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
