On June 5, events were held at the United Nations Headquarters to celebrate Russian Language Day, one of the six official languages of the UN. The holiday is traditionally celebrated in the lead-up to June 6, the birthday of the great Russian poet and founder of the modern Russian literary language, Alexander Pushkin.

The UNIDO Centre in the Russian Federation participated in the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026), which has traditionally become one of the largest international platforms for discussing economic development, industrial policy, technological transformation, and international cooperation. In 2026, SPIEF brought together over 24,500 participants from 142 countries, confirming its status as one of the leading platforms for discussing economic issues, industrial development, technology, and international cooperation.

On 28–29 May, the Skolkovo Innovation Center hosted the international technology festival Startup Village 2026 — one of the largest platforms for interaction between technology companies, investors, corporations, and development institutions. This year’s event brought together more than 10,000 participants, over 100 sessions in the business program, and thousands of B2B meetings dedicated to the development of the innovation economy and the implementation of advanced technologies.
