First Russian International Open Conference on Sustainable Development and ESG Transformation

On October 14, MGIMO hosted the First Russian International Open Conference on Sustainable Development and ESG Transformation.
Sergey Korotkov, Director of the UNIDO Center for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation, took part in the section “Green transition or a new phase of trade wars — the role of green diplomacy”. In his speech, he noted the significant role of international organizations of the UN structure in solving environmental and economic problems, spoke about UNIDO’s initiatives to strengthen cooperation with government agencies and large industrial enterprises in order to harmonize efforts to reduce the carbon footprint and green transformation. The section was moderated by I.A. Guliev.
The conference also hosted a plenary session of RAMI “Sustainable Development — a Platform for Broad International Dialogue”, a plenary session of the First Russian Open International Conference on Sustainable Development and ESG Transformation, as well as a section “Sustainable Development and ESG Transformation: Challenges and Opportunities for Business „And“ Science and education in sustainable development „and others.
