Russian Energy Week 2025 (REW-2025) took place in Moscow from October 15–17, 2025, at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall and Gostiny Dvor. It became the largest international platform for discussing the future of energy.

On September 27, 2025, a thematic session, „Industrial Automation: The Path to Sustainable Development,“ was held in Moscow as part of the World Atomic Week 2025 international forum. It was organized with the participation of Rosatom Automated Control Systems JSC and the Digital Economy Automated Non-Profit Organization.

On September 12–13, 2025, the VIII Global Conference on Near-Space Industrialization was held in Maryina Gorka, Belarus, bringing together over 500 participants in person and online. Among them were leading scientists, engineers, representatives of the business community, government agencies, and international organizations.

On August 4, 2025, the international chess tournament „UN Friendship Games-80“ started in the Chess Lounge of MGIMO, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the United Nations.
- UNIDO Centre in the Russian Federation supported the delegation from Turkmenistan, which arrived to work within the framework of UNIDO project on the Montreal Protocol

Turkmenistan is actively working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming. In 2020, the country acceded to the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. The amendment provides for a phased reduction in the consumption of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) — synthetic greenhouse gases with a very high global warming potential (GWP). HFCs are used in many areas of economic activity, including refrigeration equipment and air conditioning systems.

One of the largest and most significant business events in the world, the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2025), was held in St. Petersburg from 18 to 21 June 2025. In 2025, the Forum brought together more than 10,000 participants from more than 120 countries, becoming a key international platform for discussing global economic trends, the environmental agenda, and technological solutions of the future.
- UNIDO Centre took part in the XI Nevsky International Ecological Congress

On May 22–23, the XI Nevsky International Ecological Congress was held in St. Petersburg at the Tauride Palace. The Congress brought together representatives of government, science, business and international organizations to discuss current issues of environmental protection and sustainable development. The Congress was organized with the support of the Federation Council, the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, and Roscongress, and once again became a key platform for discussing global environmental challenges.
- UNIDO Day 2025 at Shanghai Technology Fair

A major international event, the China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF), which is the only national-level expo in China dedicated to promoting technology, was held in Shanghai from 11 to 13 June. The main concept of the Shanghai International Technology Fair is „technology making life more exciting“, with the theme of „Innovation-driven development, intellectual property rights protection and promotion of technology trade“.

On April 3, in Moscow, at the site of the regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, an expert discussion „Food security in Africa — humanitarian challenges and possible solutions“ was held.
