UNIDO Invites Russian Innovators to Participate in Global Call for Sustainable Industrial AI-Powered Solutions

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) announces the Global Call for Sustainable Industrial AI-Powered Solutions and invites Russian companies, technology startups, research institutions and innovators to submit their innovative artificial intelligence solutions.

The initiative is jointly launched by UNIDO, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the UN Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies (ODET), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations Development Coordination Office (UNDCO) and the World Robot Cooperation Organization (WRCO).

The Global Call aims to identify and showcase innovative, deployable AI-powered technologies that address industrial challenges, enhance manufacturing efficiency and contribute to inclusive and sustainable industrial development.

Applicants are encouraged to submit solutions in areas such as industrial robotics, smart manufacturing, industrial AI models, digital infrastructure and data ecosystems.

Particular attention is given to solutions supporting women- and youth-led enterprises, expanding technological opportunities for businesses and strengthening underserved industrial ecosystems.

Participation in the initiative offers significant international opportunities, including:

  • International visibility and recognition for innovative AI-powered industrial solutions;
  • Opportunities to connect with UN entities, industry leaders, policymakers and potential partners;
  • Dedicated matchmaking, networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities;
  • Potential inclusion in the AIM Global solutions repository and Centres of Excellence network;
  • Opportunities for selected solutions to be showcased at the AIM Global Action Forum 2026, taking place on 25–26 November 2026 at the Vienna International Centre as part of UNIDO’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

The UNIDO Centre in the Russian Federation encourages Russian industrial enterprises, research institutions, technology companies and startups to actively participate in this international initiative. The Global Call provides an opportunity to showcase Russian innovations on the global stage, strengthen professional networks and establish new partnerships for the implementation of promising industrial solutions.
