The UNIDO Centre is participating in shaping the Energy Future. Results of Russian Energy Week 2025

Russian Energy Week 2025 (REW-2025) took place in Moscow from October 15–17, 2025, at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall and Gostiny Dvor. It became the largest international platform for discussing the future of energy.

This year’s forum was held under the theme „Creating the Energy of the Future Together.“ It was organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Government of Moscow. The forum attracted over 7,000 participants from over 100 countries, including representatives of governments, energy companies, international organizations, and scientific and expert communities.

The UNIDO Centre actively participated in a number of key sessions, discussions, and roundtables devoted to energy, sustainable development, international cooperation, and climate change. The forum program was structured around four strategic thematic blocks:

  • International Cooperation
  • Technology as a Driver of Energy Development
  • Sustainable Development: Adapting to the New Reality
  • Development of the Russian Fuel and Energy Complex: Strategy and Transformation

Over 60 sessions, discussion panels, and business dialogues were organized within these blocks. Topics included:

  • Russian Energy Development Strategies through 2050
  • Digitalization and Smart Grids
  • Transition to Low-Carbon Energy
  • Renewable Energy Sources (RES)
  • The Role of Nuclear Energy
  • Energy and Climate Change
  • Energy Security, Resilience, and Sustainable Development
  • Interstate Cooperation and International Energy Relations
  • Personnel Training, Scientific and Educational Initiatives
  • Youth Initiatives and Engagement of Young Professionals

Among the key events was the plenary session, during which the Russian President delivered a speech outlining the industry’s development guidelines and emphasizing the importance of global partnerships in the energy sector. Specialized sections and conferences were also held, such as the scientific and practical conference „Territory of Energy Dialogue.“

A separate exhibition section showcased equipment, technologies, and innovative projects in the energy sector.
