UNIDO Centre took part in the annual International Forum “Ecology”

On June 4-5, the Jubilee XV International Forum “Ecology” was held in Moscow at the World Trade Center.

The International Forum “Ecology” is one of the leading public platforms for discussing current environmental issues and forming guidelines for state policy in the field of environmental protection and nature management.

The Forum annually involves executive and legislative authorities, relevant ministries and departments at the federal and regional levels, non-profit public organizations, industrial companies interested in developing practices of careful nature management and environmentally friendly production, commercial enterprises working in the field of environmental services, transport companies, municipal utilities and others.

The business program included more than 30 discussions in 6 thematic areas: healthy environment, circular economy, greening of industry, climate change, sustainability tools, nature conservation. The most relevant and interesting sessions were “International Eco-Dialogue: Where Are New Points of Contact?”, “Green Construction” and “Development of a Low-Carbon Economy”.

The Forum’s business programme was accompanied by an exhibition display, which presented successful projects and technological innovations in the field of waste recycling and environmental protection, ensuring environmental safety and reducing the negative impact on the environment.

Traditionally, the Ecology 2024 Forum resulted in a public Resolution, which combined proposals and recommendations from the participants and was sent to the relevant authorities of the country.
