UNIDO at INNOPROM 2026: Strengthening International Industrial Cooperation

From July 6 to 9, 2026, the 16th International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM, a key platform for discussing industrial development, technological leadership, and international cooperation, was held in Yekaterinburg. This year’s forum, under the theme „Industry 360: Production Without Borders,“ brought together over 50,000 participants and visitors, including representatives of government agencies, businesses, international organizations, academia, and industrial enterprises from dozens of countries. Over the four days, dozens of business events were held, focusing on industrial development, digital transformation, sustainable development, and expanding international cooperation.
ITPO Russia participated in the forum’s business program. The ITPO’s delegation was led by its Head, Igor Kozhin, who attended several key events dedicated to industrial development, technological cooperation, and international partnership. As part of the business program, the Head of ITPO Russia participated in the plenary session „Industrial Industry 360,“ as well as the strategic sessions „Challenges in Managing Technological Development“ and „Architecture of Multipolar Industrial Partnerships.“
The plenary session „Industrial Industry 360“ was the central event of the exhibition’s business program, bringing together representatives of federal government agencies, heads of major industrial companies, international organizations, and the expert community. Participants discussed key trends in global industrial development, the impact of technological change on the global economy, issues of increasing the competitiveness of the industrial sector, the formation of new production chains, and the expansion of international cooperation in the context of global economic transformation.
The session „Challenges in Managing Technological Development“ focused on the formation of an effective innovation management system, the development of mechanisms for the commercialization of scientific and technological developments, the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies, the digitalization of industry, and the creation of conditions for accelerated technological development. Experts also examined the role of government, development institutions, and international organizations in supporting innovation and the implementation of major technological projects. During the strategic session „Architecture of Multipolar Industrial Partnership,“ the participants discussed prospects for developing new models of international industrial cooperation, strengthening interactions between countries, developing production and supply chains, localizing high-tech manufacturing, technology transfer, and implementing joint investment projects. Particular attention was paid to the role of international organizations in creating conditions for sustainable industrial development and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
Furthermore, Igor Kozhin reviewed exhibits from Russian regions, national stands from foreign countries, and developments by leading domestic and international companies, which presented modern solutions in mechanical engineering, automation, digital manufacturing, robotics, energy, and environmentally friendly technologies.
The ITPO Russia participation in INNOPROM 2026 was an important part of efforts to develop international industrial cooperation and strengthen collaboration with Russian and international partners. The results obtained during the forum and the business contacts established will contribute to the further advancement of UNIDO initiatives aimed at developing industrial cooperation, implementing modern technologies, and supporting sustainable industrial development.
