Experts discussed global economy trends at the III outgoing Session of the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum

On July 1, the III Session of the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum was held at the residence of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, G. Yekaterinburg. The main topic of the forum was — new trends in the global economy from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.

The organizers of the event were the Association “Discover Eurasia”, the Roscongress Foundation, the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region, Banca Intesa, the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia GIM-Unimpresa.

The event was attended by the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeny Kuyvashev, the Italian Ambassador to Russia Pasquale Terracciano, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banca Intesa, the President of the Association „Knowing Eurasia“ Antonio Fallico, as well as representatives of government authorities, Head of PJSC Enel in Russia Mr. Stefan Zvegintsev, business organizations and the business community of Russia and Italy.

The Director of the UNIDO Centre in the Russian Federation spoke at the expert discussion „Business on the path to environmental and digital transformation“ on the UNIDO vision of digitalization processes in the economy.

“In most countries, the fourth industrial revolution affects only a small part of the economy. In most countries, different generations of digital technologies coexist simultaneously in the manufacturing sector, while technologies associated with the fourth industrial revolution have been able to penetrate only a small part of the sector, ”he said.

The XIV Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona will be held on October 28-29, 2021. The event is organized by the Italian non-profit Association “Explore Eurasia”, the Roscongress Foundation and the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
