World Green Energy Forum 2014 in Republic of Korea

22 – 24, October 2014 – World Green Energy Forum 2014 was hosted in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea.
The purpose of this forum is finding ways to respond proactively to the global changes of environment and climate, energy-related, and building a global partnership for sustainable development of the world community within the concept of realignment on environmentally secure future.
The forum program was extremely informative and interesting and included:
- The speech of the Nobel Prize in Economics 2010 Christopher Pissarides
- Speech of the Vice-President of the intergovernmental panel on climate change Ismail Elgizouli.
- The session on policy and technology in relation to the five categories of „green“ energy:
- nuclear energy, solar energy, information and communication technologies, energy storage, fuel cells.
This forum was attended by Director of UNIDO Centre for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation Sergey Korotkov, who presented the report „the Possibility of cooperation between UNIDO and the private sector in the Russian Federation”
