Russia-China B2B Workshop on e-commerce will take place in Moscow on 22 May 2017

The event is jointly organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in cooperation with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Russian Export Center (REC). The workshop is held as part of the 16th World Business Leader Roundtable Special Session — a matchmaking event between Chinese and Russian cross-border e-commerce enterprises.
The B2B workshop is aimed at exchanging experience and best practices, as well as establishing business contacts between Russian and Chinese associations, companies, experts, and scientists working in the field of B2B e-commerce within UNIDO’s interregional project „Promote the development and cooperation of SMEs between China and other BRICS countries through e-commerce development“.
Representatives of interested Chinese companies and institutions, among which the CCPIT, Ruston, Alibaba.com, Sinopec International, Wangji Group will be participating in the event. From the Russian side, e-commerce companies have confirmed their participation along with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
On 23 and 24 May 2017 B2B meetings will be held, as well as site visits to Russian enterprises and organizations.
Within the framework of the three-day event, a memorandum on cooperation between the UNIDO Centre in the Russian Federation and Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences will be signed. It is expected that the document will give impetus to an active development of cooperation in the area of e-commerce among others.
Representatives of Russian companies and institutions interested in the development of B2B e-commerce are invited to participate in the workshop. Venue: World Trade Centre (12 Krasnopresnenskaya emb., entr.7, Ladoga VIP-Hall). Participation is free of charge. Registration is mandatory.
